Stoltenberg told US President Joe Biden at the White House that NATO defense spending will be a major topic at next month's alliance summit in Washington, followed by the conflict in Ukraine.
Stoltenberg was in Washington for preparations for the NATO summit.
Biden said the alliance is facing one of the most consequential moments for Europe since World War Two as Ukraine and Russia are having a conflict. He underlined that NATO will defend every single inch of its territory.
