(VOVworld) - Inkyfada, an electronic magazine investigating any Tunisian involvement in the so-called Panama Papers, was attacked by hackers on Wednesday, just hours after its first postings on the scandal.

The magazine said on Twitter that its site has come under a serious IT attack by hackers who have managed to post false information under its name and consequently, the site is temporarily taken offline. Monia Ben Hamadi, chief editor of Inkyfada, said the false reports have been identified but not the hackers. Several countries have vowed to open tax evasion investigations following the leak of 11.5 million confidential documents from Panamanian legal services firm Mossack Fonseca. The files show that Mossack Fonseca helped its customers launder money and evade taxes by establishing 214,000 fake entities. Its customers include current and former leaders of many countries around the world. 400 journalists from 80 countries are participating in the investigation.
