(VOVworld) - Bac Giang province has opened its Party congress. Speaking in the event on Thursday, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organizational Commission, To Huy Rua, asked Bac Giang province to promote sectoral restructuring and invest more on agriculture, rural development and farmers: “Investment in agriculture, rural development and product processing will foster a connectivity between production to market outlet to ensure sustainable development. Technological application must be promoted to raise productivity, ensure food safety and increase supplies to Hanoi and other major cities.”

The same day, Kon Tum province opened its Party congress. The province aimed to raise per capita income to over 2,500 dollars and an average annual growth rate of 9% in the next term with 3.5 trillion dong contributed to the state budget. Deputy National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan was speaking in the event: “Kon Tum province should ensure tidy zoning of forest lands, mining and hydro power projects to promote agricultural production. Reservoirs and irrigation networks must serve aquacultural farming. Processing and mining industries should be promoted.”
