Pilot mechanisms proposed for Van Don Economic Zone
(VOVWORLD) -The Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee’s standing board on Sunday submitted a request for pilot mechanisms and policies to develop Van Don Economic Zone.

Quang Ninh proposed that it be allowed to preside over and coordinate with a number of ministries and sectors and branches to conduct the project.
Van Don Economic Zone was established according to the Prime Minister’s Decision in 2007 and the adjusted master plan in 2020, under which Van Don will become a multi-sector marine economic zone, offering high-class sea and island tourism and services, and an international trade gateway to create unique and modern products with high quality, brand name recognition, and international competitiveness.
Van Don is aiming to become a regional economic and cultural center, with an average growth rate of 25-30% per year by 2030 and total production value reaching 5.6 billion USD.
