Mr. Chinh reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to facilitating US enterprises based on the principle of "harmonized interests, shared risks," ensuring a balanced approach that benefits the State, the people, and businesses.
“The already fruitful US-Vietnam relationship should be further strengthened. We welcome high-quality investments from the US, particularly in technology transfer, human resource development, science, innovation, and emerging industries,” said PM Chinh.
Closer cooperation between the business communities of both countries is essential, allowing Vietnamese enterprises to integrate into the global value and supply chains of US companies, he said. “We encourage the US business community to advocate for the new administration of President Donald Trump to recognize Vietnam as a market economy.”
PM Chinh urged US businesses to actively engage with Vietnamese authorities, emphasizing that the administrations must listen, address concerns, and swiftly resolve challenges to create a more favorable business environment.
Executives from major US corporations praised Vietnam’s improving investment climate, recognizing the country as an attractive global investment destination and a key link in global supply chains.
They highlighted the 2023 upgrade of US-Vietnam relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership as a pivotal step in strengthening business ties and expressed their strong interest in expanding investments in Vietnam.
