PM Chinh’s UAE visit widely covered by regional media

(VOVWORLD) - Regional news outlets have provided extensive coverage of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to the United Arab Emirates and its results.

Al-Khaleej (The Gulf) newspaper reported on Sunday that PM Chinh’s trip was within the framework of the two countries' shared interest and desire to promote bilateral relations, and that Vietnam is the UAE's largest non-oil trade partner in ASEAN. Non-oil trade continued to increase strongly in the first half of the year, reaching 6.1 billion USD, up 9% against the same period last year.

Media of the UAE and several other Gulf countries highlighted the Vietnam-UAE agreement to upgrade their bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership and the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), as well as deals and memorandums of understanding in economics, investment, trade, government development, education, and research.
Quoting UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, local media said the UAE is Vietnam’s largest trading partner in the Middle East, and the two countries sign a new cooperation agreement because they believe in the future of their relationship.
