Prime Minister Chinh met with voters who are members of the business associations and women’s business associations, and young entrepreneurs, in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on Monday.

He emphasized the need to maximize the distinctive potentials, outstanding opportunities, and competitive advantages of the country, businesses, cities, and regions, so as to create a synergy strength.

“If we follow the right trend and unlock the right potential, opportunities, and competitive advantages, our strength will be doubled or tripled. We must adapt to external shocks, have the courage to stay calm, choose suitable, effective solutions, that fit the actual situation."

According to the Prime Minister, the Government will not revise the growth target of 8% or more, and will maintain macroeconomic stability, ensure social security and improve people's lives. He requested that Can Tho focus on streamlining the apparatus and arranging administrative boundaries without affecting the growth target.

PM Chinh urged creating breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; attracting and connecting businesses and scientists; and developing the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, and cyber security.
