(VOVworld)- The government will strive to raise Vietnam’s GDP growth to 6-6.2% in 2015, according to a directive issued by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung for the 2015 national socio-economic development plan. The government will target continued macro-economic stability, restructuring the economy and transforming the growth model, improving the efficiency of the economy, ensuring sustainable economic growth and social welfare, expanding external relations and international integration, and consolidating national security and defense. Regarding national security and defense, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked for comprehensive measures to enhance the law enforcement to defend national sovereignty and interests in the East Sea. He also called for efforts to resolve the current East Sea issue on the basis of international law, especially the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea.
