Putin: Russia prioritizes cooperation with China
(VOVWORLD) - Cooperation with China is one of Russia’s top priorities and it has reached an unprecedented level, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Chinese President Xi Jinping at a reception in Beijing on Friday.
Putin is in China for a state visit. During a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, he hailed the multilateral cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Li said China is ready to cooperate with Russia in communication and nuclear energy, adding that bilateral trade is expected to reach 100 billion USD this year.
Putin is scheduled to attend the SCO Summit in Qingdao on Saturday and Sunday.
