RoK President congratulates Vietnam on winning AFF Suzuki Cup 2018
(VOVWORLD) - President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in has congratulated the Vietnam national football team, led by coach Park Hang-seo, on its victory in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.

In a post on Facebook on Sunday, President Moon said he hopes to see the continued success of the team and said Vietnam and South Korea can foster their friendship through football.
Vietnam beat Malaysia 1-0 in the second leg final to win the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup with an aggregate score of 3-2.
Vietnamese authorities and sponsors awarded hundreds of thousands of USD to the team. Striker Nguyen Anh Duc, the only player to score in the second leg final match, was given an apartment worth 50,000 USD in Phu Yen province. Head coach Park Hang-seo donated 100,000 USD to support Vietnamese poor people and football development in Vietnam.
