(VOVworld) - The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Germany and the US Secretary of State discussed the crisis in Ukraine by phone on Monday. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the international community needs to immediately promote national dialogues between all political and regional factions in Ukraine, on the basis of respecting both sides’ legal rights and benefits. Moscow said that these dialogues should be conducted openly and focused on institutional reform, including the application of a federal mechanism in Ukraine. Russia and the US both agreed to continue boosting the dialogue process so that Ukrainians can determine their country’s future. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier showed his willingness to cooperate with Russia. Meanwhile, the current crisis in Ukraine shows no sign of easing. Conflicts occurred Monday between police and protesters who tried to enter Nikolaiev’s government headquarters. Ukraine’s government wants to strengthen its security forces in Ukraine’s southeastern region.
