On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed by phone the conflict, bilateral relations, and other topics. The two men agreed to keep in touch and arrange a direct meeting.
While no details about the negotiating team have been disclosed and the date for a direct meeting between the two leaders is still uncertain, both sides agree that a negotiated solution is possible, Peskov said. He added it’s too early to discuss the involvement of European countries in the negotiations.
President Trump on Thursday said Ukraine will have a seat at the table during any peace negotiations with Russia. European leaders demanded that both Ukraine and Europe must be included in any negotiations.
