(VOVWORLD) -Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung on Sunday led a delegation to visit Ha Nam province and deliver gifts to disadvantaged people ahead of thye Lunar New Year holiday (Tet).

At a program organized by the Vietnam Red Cross Society in Ly Nhan district, the delegation gave 100 Tet gifts worth 50 USD each to poor households, policy beneficiaries, and AO victims’ families.
A program welcoming the Lunar New Year in Ho Chi Minh City the same day mobilized more than 48,000 USD to prepare a happy Tet for the poor. The organizing board will give 2,000 Tet gifts to disadvantaged farmers, 100 savings books to people with special difficult circumstances, more than 1,500 Luong Dinh Cua scholarships to poor children, and will build 50 charity houses.
