Food-distributing has become a traditional cultural practice honoring the heroes who contributed to the founding and defense of the country. It’s a reminder to future generations to cherish the past and respect their ancestors.

The Tran Kings temple’s seal opening ceremony is an ancient custom at the Tien Temple of the Tran Dynasty to pray for national peace and prosperity, and for every family to share in the blessings of the temple seal.

Mr. Tran Huy Chien, the head of the temple, said: "The seal refers to the sacred tradition of the Tran Dynasty. Anyone with sincerity and virtue can come here to receive blessings. The blessings are endless. The more virtues one accumulates, the longer the blessings will last. This is the meaning inscribed on the seal."

The custom preserves and promotes the cultural heritage while reflecting the Vietnamese national principle "When drinking water, remember its source."

"Every year, we come here to receive the lucky seal of Tran Kings temple, hoping for good health for every family, peace and prosperity for the entire nation, and happiness for everyone."

"Each time I hold the lucky seal in my hand, I feel joyful and it motivates me to continue working and producing in the new year. I’m very excited to attend the Tran Thuong Temple Festival."

This year's festival, expanded in scale and duration, includes a procession of the Ngoc Lo shrine, a water procession, a fish sacrifice ceremony, and a seal-opening ceremony.
