(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang on Thursday offered his condolences to the Iranian Embassy in Hanoi over the deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and some senior officials in a recent helicopter crash.

He wrote in the condolence book that Vietnam hopes that the Iranian State and people will overcome this enormous grief and loss to continue building an increasingly prosperous State of Iran.
On May 20, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent condolences to Acting President of Iran Mohammad Mokhber, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man cabled a message of condolences to Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
