Syria: One chemical weapon arsenal has not been investigated
(VOVworld) - The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) announced Thursday that investigators have checked 22 out of the 23 chemical weapons areas reported by Syria.

However, war has hindered the process of checking the last arsenal. The OPCW has been inspecting chemical weapons arsenals since October 1. An OPCW officer used a special camera to investigate one area in Allepo city. Through images captured by the camera, investigators confirmed that all equipment used in the chemical weapons production process have been removed and destroyed as previously reported. Syria is closely cooperating with the UN and OPCW investigators to destroy 1,290 tons of chemical weapons before the 2014 deadline. The OPCW released a detailed plan for destroying the chemical weapons by November 15.
