Chan-ocha said that martial law would be imposed throughout Thailand until comprehensive reform had been conducted. He said he had reported on secret anti-government movements and the Thai government would do its utmost to ensure public order. Martial law has been imposed in Thailand before the May 22 coup which ousted Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
