(VOVWORLD) - President Donald Trump pledged Thursday to enforce his planned 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico starting on March 4, after they were put on pause earlier this month.

Trump has threatened tariffs on more than 900 billion USD worth of goods from the two countries because he says they are not doing enough to stop undocumented migrants and fentanyl from entering the United States.
Trump also promised Thursday to levy an additional 10% tariff on hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of Chinese goods starting the same date.
This announcement came just one day after Trump suggested the possibility of further delaying the tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada until April 2.
