(VOVworld) – Two naval ships of Brigade 146, Navy zone 4, left Cam Ranh military port in Khanh Hoa province on Thursday headed for Truong Sa archipelago to help military forces and fishermen working there vote for on the 14th NA and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure.

An early election will be held in Truong Sa town and in the two island communes of Song Tu Tay and Sinh Ton on May 15, one week ahead of the National Election Day.

Preparations have basically been completed. Lists of candidates with brief biographies and election regulations have been made available to the voters. Truong Sa island district’s People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Viet Thuan says: “we have completed necessary preparations for the elections thanks to close coordination among the People’s Committee, the People’s Council, and relevant agencies at all levels. We have publicized election regulations, the law on organization of local administration, the law on organization of the NA, and the rights of candidates and voters to all military staff, soldiers, and people.”
