(VOVworld) – UK Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday appointed experienced diplomat Tim Barrow as the new Ambassador to the EU, replacing Ivan Rorgers, who resigned on Tuesday.

Mr. Barrow was the UK Ambassador to Russia from 2011 to 2015, and is currently the political director at the Foreign Office. He’s involved in planning and implementing multilateral policies, and dealing with security issues in the Middle East and South Asia.
