Earlier, Ukraine’s Parliament voted to eject President Yanukovych and his government and transfer power to the speaker of the parliament Alexandre Turchinov. On Thursday, the Parliament approved Arseny Yatsenyuk as Caretaker Prime Minister and members of his cabinet. In his first speech to Parliament, Yatsenyuk, a former economy minister, said he will implement special measures to bring Ukraine out of its current economic crisis. The Parliament set May 25th as the official early election day for the presidency, Kiev’s Mayor, and the City Council.
