(VOVworld) – Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk announced Thursday his resignation at Ukraine’s Parliament, after criticizing politicians for not approving Energy and Budgetary bills, which were to finance the army.

He told the Parliament that: “My resignation is due to the collapse of the ruling European choice coalition in the Parliament that led to the rejection of government initiatives”. Earlier, the ruling coalition in the Ukrainian Parliament – the European Choice – broke up, in a bid to pave the way for Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s announcement of early parliamentary elections next month.
The nationalist Svoboda party and former boxing champion Vitaly Klitschko’s Udar party also announced their withdrawal from the coalition. Under Ukraine’s constitution, the Parliament has 30 days to form a new coalition. If not, the President can dissolve the Parliament and call for new elections.
