(VOVworld) – UN agencies strongly condemned the deadly shooting at a Florida nightclub in the US which killed 49 people and wounded more than 50.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the horrific attack, extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and expressed his solidarity with the government and people of the United States. President of the UN General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft expressed his outrage and deep sorrow for the victims killed in the Sunday mass shooting in Orlando. The UN Security Council condemned the attack and expressed its deep sympathy for the victims’ families and the US government. UN Security Council members reaffirmed that terrorism appears in all forms and added that these manifestations are the most dangerous threats to world peace and security.
