(VOVworld) – With 93 percent of the counted vote, Russia’s ruling party, United Russia, led in the election to the lower house of parliament with 54.27 percent of the votes.

It was followed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation with 13.46 percent and the Liberal Democratic Party with 13.25 percent, and A Just Russia with 6.17 percent. With this result, President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia Party will gain at least 338 seats in the 450-seat parliament of Russia.
