(VOVworld) – White House spokesperson Josh Earnest announced on Tuesday that the US hopes negotiations over the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) with the EU will be completed before the end of this year, following France and Germany’s expression of serious doubt about the prospects of the deal.

He added that US President Barack Obama would send his Trade Representative, Michael Froman, to travel to Europe in a couple of weeks to continue those negotiations. If it is passed, TTIP will be the biggest trade agreement ever.
