(VOVworld) - The Vietnamese Embassy in the US held a New Year reception gathering more than 70 advisors and assistants to key committees of the US Congress to gain updates about the US foreign policy on relations with Asia and Vietnam.

Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh told delegates in the event on Friday that Vietnam treasured the development of comprehensive partnership with the new US administration and Congress as well towards long-term efficiency and stability while boosting senior level visits.

The Ambassador praised the role by the advisors and assistants in promoting bilateral comprehensive partnership in all areas. He said Vietnamese leaders have invited and expected US President Donald Trump to participate at the APEC Summit in Vietnam and visit the country this November.

The US guests praised Vietnam’s renovation and its regional role while pledging to cooperate with the Vietnamese embassy in promoting bilateral ties.
