(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama declined to offer military aid to Ukraine regardless of pressure from both Democrat and Republican congressmen.

He said the US may have to face a series of other issues. Many western politicians have warned that Russia’s military deployment at the border with Ukraine would be a signal that Moscow is preparing to send troops with ostensibly humanitarian objective to protect federalization supporters in the eastern region.
But Obama said the Ukrainian army is fighting an opposition group who has conducted some dangerous clashes but is not equal in strength to the government forces. He said it’s not the right time to consider an operation by Russia.
