Speaking with representatives of the Chinese business community on Friday, PM Chinh emphasized the strong ties between Vietnam and China, noting that both nations share the common goals of national prosperity and improving people's livelihoods.

He urged businesses from both countries to take the lead in implementing high-level agreements on people-to-people exchange, contributing to the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

PM Chinh encouraged Chinese enterprises to transfer technology to Vietnam, support Vietnamese businesses’ growth and participation in global value chains, and expand investment in both traditional and emerging sectors. These include semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), photonics, quantum technology, biotechnology, new materials, and high-tech services such as digital payments.

He called on the Ministry of Transport to fast-track the development of standard-gauge railway projects connecting Vietnam and China—particularly the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong, Lang Son – Hanoi, and Mong Cai – Ha Long – Hai Phong routes—envisioning them as symbolic infrastructure projects for both nations.

Representatives from industry associations and 23 major corporations from China expressed confidence in Vietnam’s economic prospects. They praised its improving business environment and growing role as a key global investment destination and supply chain hub. Many also voiced strong interest in expanding investment in green economy, digital economy, circular economy, electronics, IT, and clean energy in Vietnam.
