(VOVworld) – The government office has announced the Prime Minister’s conclusion on the hosting of the 2021 Southeast Asian Games which will represent Vietnam’s responsibility for the regional community, and contribute to promoting Vietnam’s image, and develop the sports sector.

But as this is a major project, it requires careful preparations and would be reported to the Party Politburo.

The Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to work with relevant agencies to design the plan, which should specify the number of sports and the events of each sport.

It’s also necessary to work out a training program for athletes to participate in the region’s biggest sporting event.
