(VOVworld) – Switzerland’s President Johann Schneider-Ammann has said Switzerland and member countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) are ready to sign a free trade deal with Vietnam. The EFTA involves Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland.

In a recent interview granted to Vietnam News Agency, President Johann Schneider-Ammann said in the economic cooperation strategy with Vietnam, Switzerland will focus on helping Vietnam in public finance management, improvement of the national financial system capacity, capital access of small and medium-sized enterprises, enhancement of environmental standards, effective use of natural resources, safe and sustainable production and development, urban planning, and public services.
