(VOVWORLD) - As of Tuesday morning, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Vietnam remained at 1,049, as no new COVID-19 cases have been reported for six days straight.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health said 854 patients have recovered and there have been 35 fatalities. Most of the fatalities were elderly persons with serious underlying health conditions. 160 patients are still under treatment at 20 medical facilities nationwide.
