Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem told the 45th anniversary celebration of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties Wednesday that visits by the Italian leaders to Ho Chi Minh City have illustrated their good relationship and opened new cooperative opportunities.
“I believe that with mutual trust, determination of leaders, and joint efforts of both peoples, the Vietnam-Italy strategic partnership and Ho Chi Minh City’s relations with Italy will flourish for the interest of our people and for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and wider world.” Liem said.
Italy has 34 investment projects in Ho Chi Minh City, ranking 25th among 95 territories and countries investing in the city. Last year trade revenue between Ho Chi Minh City and Italy reached 600 million USD, an increase of 5% against the same period in 2016.
