(VOVworld) - President of the Lao Front for National Construction’s Central Committee Phanduongchit Vongsa has proposed sharing more experience with Vietnam in ethnic affairs.

Phanduongchit Vongsa met with Vietnam’s Deputy Minister and deputy head of the Government’s Committee for Ethnic Affairs Son Phuoc Hoan in Vientiane on Monday. The joint work will cover personnel training, and dissemination of ethnic laws and policies, especially those related to poverty reduction in border ethnic minority regions. Hoan said the two sides agreed to increase their exchange of visits and training courses on ethnic work for Lao cadres while drafting a socio-economic development plan for areas along their border, which will strengthen relations between Vietnam and Laos.

The Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Laos will continue until Thursday.
