Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO celebrates 40th anniversary
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has praised the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO’s important role in national construction and defense.

Minh told a ceremony in Hanoi on Monday to mark the Commission’s 40th anniversary that the agency has been a bridge linking Vietnam’s history, culture, and people with the world: “The Commission has helped make culture, one of the pillars of modern Vietnamese diplomacy. This effort has inspired national patriotism, boosted socio-economic development, and promoted the image of Vietnam’s land and people to the world. With 35 titles recognized by UNESCO and having served as a member of prestigious organizations, Vietnam will continue to work with UNESCO to fulfill its tasks”.
Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh took this occasion to present the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit to the Vietnam’s National Commission for UNESCO.
