Vietnam pledges to improve business-investment environment
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam will continue improving its business and investment climate to facilitate domestic and foreign investors, including Japan’s Sumimoto Mitsu Banking Coporation (SMBC).

Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh made the remark on Friday while receiving Koichi Miyata, Chairman of the Board of SMBC and Sumitomo Mitsu Financial Group.
Mr. Binh said he hopes SMBC will continue its long-term operation in Vietnam, while expanding cooperation and experience sharing with Vietnamese banks.
At a reception for Greek Ambassador to Vietnam Ioanis Raptakis the same day, Mr. Binh suggested that Greece support Vietnam’s stronger partnership with the European Union and the signing and implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). Mr. Binh noted that Vietnam always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Greek businesses.
