(VOVworld) – Vietnam hopes the UK will continue its official development assistance to help Vietnam achieve its Millennium Development Goals and cope with global challenges such as climate change, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son told Hugo Swire, UK’s Foreign Minister, at the 2013 Vietnam-UK strategic partnership dialogue that they co-chaired in London on Tuesday. This was the third such dialogue since the two countries established a strategic partnership in September, 2010.

He added that the UK can share its experience with Vietnam in the public-private partnership, banking and financial services, and organization of international sports events such as the Asian Games (ASIAD) that Vietnam will host in 2019.
A joint statement was released to sum up their talks and announce plans for the future development of bilateral relations.
