(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi yesterday for newly-accredited Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Charlotte Laursen. He thanked the Danish Government for its ODA provision for Vietnam, saying that the capital has been used effectively in Vietnam’s prioritised fields like poverty reduction, public governance, administrative reform, environment and climate change response.

The Vietnamese Government is implementing a lot of policies to facilitate long-term operations of foreign enterprises in Vietnam, including those from Denmark.
The PM noted that the bilateral trade of 500 million USD is at a modest level compared with the two sides’ potential. He hoped both countries will intensify cooperation in economics, trade, investment, green growth, education, hi-tech agriculture and ship building.
The Danish ambassador informed the host that the Danish Foreign Minister will visit Vietnam in this October, during which the minister wants to seek more measures to step trade cooperation. She also affirmed to do her utmost to boost trade and investment ties between the two countries.
