The fair, which continues until October 10, is co-organized by the Department of Economics of the Ministry of Defense, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Cambodia’s Trade Promotion Department of their Ministry of Trade.
Vietnamese enterprises display apparel, footwear, handicraft products, electronics, fertilizer, ago-forestry-fishery products and processed food. The fair is part of the national trade promotion program to support Vietnamese enterprises, particularly military enterprises, to enhance exports to Cambodia and ASEAN countries.
Several sideline activities will also be held during the four-day event, including a free cataract surgery program for social welfare beneficiaries from the two countries’ military hospitals; gift offerings, and arts programs. This is a key event to mark the 49
th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Cambodia.
