To raise two-way trade to 15 billion USD, Dung urged both sides to step up investment in fields where India has strength and Vietnam has demand, to expand aviation and maritime connectivity, to reduce and eventually remove trade barriers, and to facilitate import-export activities.
President Kovind said businesses in both countries have great cooperation opportunities in information technology, the digital economy, hydrocarbons, renewable energy, health care, and civil aviation. He said India hopes to learn from Vietnam’s experience in urban infrastructure development, tourism, startups, and innovation.
