Wearing masks mandatory inside HCM city’s medical facilities amid flu outbreaks
(VOVWORLD) -Faced with seasonal flu cases surging in northern Vietnam and some other countries, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health is tightening disease surveillance at medical facilities and taking prevention measures to effectively curb the spread of the flu.
The Department requires medical facilities to strengthen case monitoring and strictly follow emergency epidemic reporting procedures.
People coming for examination and treatment at the hospital must wear masks and are advised to get the flu vaccine, maintain personal hygiene and limit contact with people showing signs of illness as this time of the year is favorable for respiratory pathogens to spread.
Non-public medical examination and treatment facilities are required to promptly report suspected cases to local health authorities for quick handling.
