(VOVworld) – A workshop took place on Tuesday to exchange development initiatives for localities in climate change adaptation. Known as the VIE/033 project funded by the Luxembourg government, the meeting aimed to improve the project’s action plan and financing for 2015.

The 10-million-euro project has been implemented in 29 communes in the districts of Quang Dien, Phu Vang, and Phu Loc to reduce poverty in the poorest areas, reduce damage in the most vulnerable areas, and respond to climate change sustainably, equitably, and efficiently in Tam Giang lagoon and coastal communes of the three districts.

The project, which is scheduled to end in June, 2017, will cover 25 activities and 10 main missions. In 2015, 2.4 million euros will be disbursed for these activities.
