(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s largest blood donation program held annually at the beginning of the new year will deliver the message "Donate blood in early spring - Multiply happiness".

The 18th Red Spring Festival is opened on Saturday and the nine-day program is expected to attract 10,000 people and will receive about 8,000 units of blood.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Ngoc Que, Director of the National Blood Center at Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, said, “The Red Spring Festival will be held at the Institute from February 8 to 16 and the People's Committee of Trau Quy town, Gia Lam district, Hanoi from February 13 to 14, 2025. In addition, blood donation days are also held at Aeon Mall Ha Dong shopping center.”
The blood donation program will enroll more members; present certificates to individuals and couples donating blood; create a video to introduce the Red Spring Festival and meet the families of blood donation campaign leaders.
Organizers have provided a registration link on the website of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion so that people can take care of their health before donating blood.
“When I came to the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, I found that blood and blood products are always needed to treat patients. Because there is now no artificial product that can replace it, blood can only be taken from healthy people to transmit to patients,” a blood donor said.
This year's Spring Festival lasts until Valentine's Day, February 14, so that couples who donate blood together will have unforgettable memories.
