(VOVWORLD) - Provinces and cities across Vietnam simultaneously launched on Saturday Youth Month, a nationwide initiative to promote youth engagement, creativity, and social responsibility.
In Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province, the Hue municipal Youth Union Standing Committee launched the Youth Month under the theme “Hue City Youth: Proud and Confident in Following the Party.” As part of the event, the Youth Union introduced the “Digital Education for the People” initiative, provided financial support for young entrepreneurs, and awarded bicycles and scholarships to disadvantaged students. A volunteer team was also deployed to assist local communities in adopting cashless payment methods.
In response to the Youth Month launch, the border district of Tay Giang, Quang Nam province, hosted the “March Border Month” program, offering scholarships to students and families facing economic hardship. The program also provided seedlings to support local livelihoods and included initiatives such as a Zero-dong Market, financial aid distributions, and the construction of new homes to replace temporary and dilapidated houses.
Meanwhile, in Mo Rai commune, Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province, the Kon Tum Provincial Youth Union kicked off Youth Month in conjunction with the “Border March 2025” initiative. Activities included tree planting, free medical check-ups, and the distribution of medicines to residents in border communities.
At the Junction City Victory Monument in Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province, the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union launched its Youth Month campaign where 280 youth volunteer teams will be mobilized to support various community development efforts. Key initiatives include building 10 houses in alignment with the “Join Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses Nationwide by 2025” movement, participating in rural and urban development projects, and contributing to traffic safety efforts.
