To achieve its goal of attracting 11.8 million visitors this year and to elevate its global tourism standing, Khanh Hoa's tourism sector plans to collaborate with international cruise lines to host a conference promoting cruise tourism and participate in major international events to attract more cruise ships to Vietnam via Cam Ranh International Port.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, said efforts are underway to expand modern seaport facilities, providing cruise lines with more docking options and enhancing the quality of tourism services.
Thanh said: "
International cruise tourists play a key role in promoting Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa as a top destination. To encourage longer stays, the Department of Tourism will collaborate with travel agencies, cruise operators, and shipping agents to develop and introduce new tourism products and destinations, hoping to extend the visitors’ stay in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa for one to two days."
