(VOVWORLD) - The Bich Dam residential area on Hon Tre island in Nha Trang Bay aims to welcome 45,000 tourists each year, with 40% of them foreigners.

The Nha Trang City People's Committee has approved a project to make Bich Dam a green and sustainable community tourism hub.
Covering 250 hectares, Bich Dam is endowed with favorable conditions for community tourism with many attractions including Bich Dam fishing village, Hon Lon lighthouse, one of the oldest in Vietnam, Bich Dam communal house, and Bich Son Pagoda.
“Bich Dam boasts a clean environment and the intact Hon Mun coral reef. High-endtravelersprefer nature tourism. Protecting nature and preserving community culture will make the place more attractive,” Nguyen Chu Hoi, Vice President of the Vietnam Fisheries Society, said.
