On February 2, the 5th day of Lunar New Year, units of Brigade 146, Navy Region 4 organized activities as part of the "Greening Truong Sa" program, following the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh "Spring is the season of tree planting festival to make our country greener".

The annual tree planting initiative was first launched by President Ho Chi Minh in 1959 and has since become a nationwide movement. After the launching ceremony, Truong Sa islanders planted and cared for more than 10,000 trees.
