Working at the IFC until August this year, Phuong will be responsible for maritime information sharing, reporting incidents to relevant countries, and coordinating with Vietnamese agencies on security-related matters.
He is also in charge of analyzing information in collaboration with other liaison officers, contributing to research and trend analysis, assisting in planning and executing IFC activities, and engaging in diplomatic and international cooperation efforts.
The IFC serves as a key information-sharing hub for maritime security in Southeast Asia and beyond. It collaborates with naval forces, maritime law enforcement agencies, and shipping industries from over 40 countries worldwide. The center’s activities focus on gathering and disseminating accurate and timely information to support coordinated responses to maritime security threats in the Indo-Pacific region.
