The initiative aims to make technology and cybersecurity knowledge more accessible to the public. Part of Ho Chi Minh City's Youth Month in March, the program promotes a spirit of "Youth Leading Digital Transformation and Innovation."
At a session held at Tran Van Muoi Primary School in Hoc Mon district, lecturer Cao Tien Thanh from the University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology introduced attendees to fundamental digital skills and tools on computers and smartphones. "I teach them digitalization and raise their awareness of protecting personal information when using e-payments and e-wallets," Thanh said.

Nguyen Thi Kim Duyen, head of Hamlet 22 in Xuan Thoi Dong commune, said she took notes so she could share the information later with other women in her hamlet. “The teacher explained things in great detail. I think I need to learn more. My knowledge of online security is quite limited," Duyen said.
The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union has opened digital classes in 273 wards, communes, and towns. The program encourages people to install and use the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen" app, connects them with digital transformation tools and applications, raises public awareness, improves practical digital skills, and contributes to building a strong digital community.
