Nam Nghep village, considered the capital of Son Tra flowers and the heart of the festival, is 2,000 meters above sea level. Covering thousands of hectares, including 800 hectares of centuries-old trees, it’s one of the largest Son Tra growing areas in Son La province. The village, home to the Mong ethnic group, transforms into a breathtaking spectacle during the blooming season, when delicate white flowers blanket the landscape, creating a stunning contrast with the serene highland scenery.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Son of the Hanoi Photography Association said: "This is the first time I’ve attended the festival. When I arrived in Nam Nghep, I was completely captivated by the impressive scenery, which is truly unique for photographers. I didn’t expect the village to be so prosperous, or the people to be so friendly and warm."

Mr. Jonas, a tourist from Finland, said: "I was really impressed by the white flowers, the unique costumes of the people, and the great weather."

The highlight of this year's festival was the display of Mong ethnic costumes modeled by young women from the region. Against the backdrop of the mountains and the pure white blossoms, accompanied by traditional Mong music, 30 young women 16 to 25 years of age from 15 villages in Ngoc Chien commune took to the festival stage in their ethnic attire. Embodying the delicate beauty of the highland forests, they gave visitors a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of the Mong people.

Ms. Khang Thi Lan, a Nam Nghep villager, said: “I’m very happy and proud to perform in my ethnic costume and introduce its beauty to visitors from near and far.”

Each costume featured intricate patterns, exquisite embroidery, and unique designs reflecting the skill and creativity of the Mong artisans.

Mr. Lo Van Thoa, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ngoc Chien commune, said: “This is the first time a contest of Mong costumes and beautiful Ngoc Chien girls has been held. This year we’re promoting cultural tradition through ethnic melodies, dances, and costumes.”

Visitors took photographs of the breathtaking Son Tra flowers, participated in Mong folk games, enjoyed unique food specialties of Vietnam’s northwestern mountains, and learned about the culture and customs of the local ethnic communities.
