(VOVworld) – Foreign Ministers of the Arab League (AL) gathered in Cairo on Sunday to discuss regional issues including the current crisis of Syrian migrants to Europe.

AL Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi said AL members will do their utmost to support Syrian migrants.

The meeting aimed to address recent criticism of rich countries in the Gulf which haven’t received any Syrian migrants.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), since the beginning of this year, more than 380,000 people have migrated to Europe by sea and more than 2,800 people have died or gone missing en route.
